Debut album from electro pop duo Shi Offline - singer Alisa Tsybina from Russia and the Hamburg beat producer Gordian Gleiss. Since the first EP '3' in 2016, (at that time still under the name The Other Shi) they have been garnering praise: In 2017 they won the 'Krach & Get?se' award from Rockcity Hamburg e.V., published the digital album 'Bodylotion' and shortly afterwards played a sold-out concert in the Elbphilharmonie. With 'Golaya' (Russian for 'naked', feminine), the duo have increasingly formulated a stringent design language in image and sound, the mostly supercooled-melancholic and minimalist electro tracks are often perfectly complemented by Tsybina's effect-laden vocals. With songs like 'Masculinity', 'Pill Popping Princess' or 'My Body's A Temple', Shi Offline embody the spirit of the post-Tumblr generation. Glitter, candy, soft synthetic surfaces and hypnotically plucking beats meet pain and raw D.I.Y. aesthetics. For fans of Fever Ray, Die Antwoord, Faithless and Lykke Li.
