Chuck Berry had previously been a massive influence on Ronnie and all of the Stones for that matter, calling him a, 'true pioneer of rock & roll'. 'Mad Lad' features covers of some of Chuck's finest songs with a guest performance from Imelda May on a couple of tracks and is Ronnie's first solo project in nine years.
