After releasing his semi-autobiographical album 'Forty-Five' in 2019 on Nas's label Mass Appeal, Bristol's Boca 45, is about to embark on a brand-new project 2020 Donuts released in Nov. His new 2020 Donuts have seen 5 limited edition (300 stamped & numbered) coloured vinyl 45s released throughout the year and now joined together alongside 2 brand new tracks as a full LP.Delving deep within the world of soul, breakbeat, hip-hop and everything in between. Flexing his studio muscle as of late, the Bristol multi-instrumentalist and producer is demonstrating his unique ability to blend song writing and production in some of freshest sounds around. Featuring gnarly horn lines, percussive stabs and overflowing with groove, the foundations are perfectly laid for guests such MCs such as Craig G, Ash The Author, vocalists such as Swaby from The Heavy, Alison Garner from The Fauns, Hannah Williams' undeniably explosive vocals take charge on the track "Powerful". It's no surprise Hannah's work has been sampled by Jay Z on the Grammy-nominated track '4:44,' or the fact that she's also worked alongside Tyler The Creator amongst others. Hot Wheels (The Chase)' sounds like something straight out of a Tarantino movie. A cover of Badder Than Evil's 1973 track, this revamp is a real grooving, upbeat, cheeky record with plenty of guitar hooks and disco drumming.
